Buying a vehicle from auction through MKS
- Complete the MKS registration form here. To purchase vehicles at auction via MKS, please register with us first and arrange the deposit. For a vehicle priced up to ¥1,000,000. we require a deposit of ¥100,000 (subject to currency fluctuations, approximately US$1,100).
- We will send you our bank account and PayPal details for you to make the required deposit. A bank transfer to our account can take 24 to 36 hours. A PayPal transfer in most instances is immediate.
- Arrange the deposit by T/T or PayPal. For a vehicle priced up to ¥1,000,000 (subject to currency fluctuations, approximately US$11,000), we require a deposit of ¥100,000 (US$1,100).
Note the additional transfer fees:
A.) For PayPal add a 3% handling charge for the amount you send. PayPal is cheap for smaller transactions (up to ¥150,000/US$1600), secure and speedy.
B.) For bank transfer, expect to pay bank charges between ¥4,000 to ¥7,000. Banks transfeers can take up to 36 hours.
If you have not made a purchase after some period of time, the exact same deposit made to our account will be refunded to you upon written request minus any transaction fees incurred by us (MKS) whilst making the refund.
Finally, please note that we cannot take responsibility for any losses incurred by exchange rate fluctuations when making the refund to the customer.
- Confirm receipt of your payment. We are now able to purchase your vehicle at auction. On confirmation of receipt of deposit, MKS will open an account for you in our system & welcome your bids.
- Search for your desired vehicle & inform us by e-mail or fax. When you wish to purchase a particular vehicle, please complete the appropriate form & submit it to us no later than 9.00am of the auction day.
- If we purchase your vehicle, we will send you a proforma invoice - including our agents fee for the payment balance. If you intend to continue purchasing at auction with us, you may choose to leave the deposit for future purchases and pay the full price for the current purchase. If not, please pay us the full price minus the deposit for the current purchase. If your current bid was not successful, you may choose to leave your deposit for the next purchase or if you have not made a purchase after some period of time, the exact same deposit made to our account will be refunded to you upon written request minus any transaction fees incurred by us (MKS) whilst making the refund (we do not take responsibility for any losses incurred by exchange rate fluctuations when making the refund to the customer).
- Pay the balance within 3 working days upon receipt of the proforma invoice.
- Upon the receipt of final payment arrange the shipping on the first available vessel. Upon receipt of final payment, deliver the vehicle for shipping on the first available vessel and courier or EMS all the necessary documentation as soon as possible. With many thanks!
- You will receive the original documents at your address and vehicle(s) at your chosen destination port. Client receives the original documents, proceeds with any inland custom clearance procedures at the destination port before receiving the vehicle.
